“It was a challenging project but we were excited to be working with a UK manufacturer to develop, design and build this machine.”

Tunnel Engineering Services (TES) had never manufactured a machine of this size before, but had an impressive track record of products previously delivered to the tunnelling industry. “I witnessed first-hand the design and manufacturing capability within their team, so I was confident that we could work together and produce a machine to do the job”.

“We chose the TES team as a partner to build the TBM based on their skills and experience and they didn’t let us down. Its design and manufacture was a step up for both teams, and they delivered an excellent product. We also worked well and very collaboratively, which was essential on such a high profile project”.
